How is the SKAAP Score calculated?

0 to 100 scale: 60% nutrition (Nutri-Score), 30% additives (with bans flagged), and 10% organic and processing. Same product, same score, anywhere.

How We Share Your Information

Cloud hosting and database providers that store your account and scan history
Our payment processor, which handles subscription billing (we never see your card details)
Google Gemini, which receives barcodes, product names and ingredient text to generate product analysis — never your name, email, account ID or location
Product data sources we query by barcode only: FatSecret, Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts and the USDA FoodData Central database
Law enforcement or regulators, where we are legally required to do so

Analytics about app usage are aggregated and stored in our own database. We do not send usage data to third-party analytics companies.

Product Data Sources & Attribution

Product information is retrieved from FatSecret Platform API, Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts and USDA FoodData Central. Data from Open Food Facts and Open Beauty Facts is used under the Open Database License (ODbL), and the individual product contents are available under the Database Contents License. Nutrition data shown in-app may be provided by fatsecret Platform API. Scores and verdicts are SKAAP's own interpretation and are not endorsed by any of these sources.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

SKAAP is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
