SKAAP iPhone App Privacy Policy

• Account: your email address, username and, if you add them, your name and profile photo. You also choose a goal (for example muscle gain).
• Scans and products: the barcodes you scan and the products they match.
• Meals: meal photos and the meals you save (foods, portions and nutrition estimates).
• Receipts: the store, items and total read from receipt photos.
• Searches and questions: foods you search for and questions you ask Ask SKAAP.
• Feedback: messages you send us, with the screen you sent it from, the app version and your iOS version.

We do not collect your location, contacts, Apple Health data, payment details or advertising identifiers.

To run SKAAP for you: scoring products, meals and baskets, showing your history and totals, answering your questions, and fixing problems you report. We never use your data for advertising and never build an advertising profile.

SKAAP uses Google's Gemini AI service, through our servers, to:

• identify the foods in a meal photo and read the items on a receipt photo;
• answer Ask SKAAP questions, using your question plus a short summary of your goal, recent scans, meals and receipts;
• estimate ingredients or summarise a product, using only its name and brand.

We ask for your permission in the app before sending meal or receipt photos or Ask SKAAP questions. If you say no, photos aren't analysed and Ask SKAAP answers on your phone instead. Your name, email and account details are never sent to Gemini.

To look up a scanned product we send only its barcode to Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts and FatSecret. To search for a food we send only the search text to the USDA FoodData Central database.

Only the service providers that run SKAAP: Supabase (hosting, database, sign-in and photo storage), Google (Gemini AI), and the product and food databases above. They may use the data only to provide their service to us. We do not sell your personal data, and the app contains no third-party advertising or tracking.

We keep your account data for as long as you have an account. Meal and profile photos are stored privately in your account; receipt photos are analysed and not stored. When you delete your account, your profile, scans, meals, receipts, photos, Ask SKAAP history and feedback are deleted from our systems.

• Settings > My data shows what SKAAP stores for you.
• Edit your name, photo, email or password in Settings > Edit profile.
• Delete your account and its data at any time in Settings > Delete account.

Data is encrypted in transit, and each account can only access its own data. Photos are stored privately and shown through short-lived links.

SKAAP is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
